Montée | Ceramic Sculpture

Simona Cardinetti is an Italian designer whose work bridges interior architecture, set design and contemporary ceramic creation. Born in Como, she studied Interior Architecture at the Accademia di Belle Arti, where she developed a sensitivity to proportion, spatial harmony and material composition. Her career first took shape in the world of set design, creating visual environments for major cultural events including the Venice Film Festival and the Cannes Film Festival. These early experiences sharpened her ability to direct atmosphere, color and scenography, qualities that later became fundamental to her approach as a product and interior designer.

Cardinetti went on to collaborate as an image consultant for design and furniture companies, shaping their visual identities through trade fair installations and creative direction. Over the years she expanded her practice into product design, focusing on ceramics and sculptural decorative objects that merge graphic precision with playful geometry. Working from Milan, she crafts vases and vessels that draw inspiration from Art Deco, Memphis and modernist references, using layering, cylindrical silhouettes and bold contrasts to create contemporary collectible design pieces with strong visual impact.

Today her work spans interior design for restaurants, hotels, bars and private residences, alongside the creation of limited edition ceramic objects. Her pieces reflect a mastery of form, color and detail, combining artisanal craftsmanship with the visual clarity of structured design. Through a practice rooted in experimentation and cross-disciplinary experience, Cardinetti continues to define a distinct voice within modern Italian decor and collectible decorative art.
