Brazilian designer Noemi Saga creates contemporary collectible furniture shaped by material research, emotional storytelling and responsible production, blending rare natural stones and crafted wood into sculptural design pieces from her São Paulo based atelier.
Noemi Saga is a Brazilian designer whose collectible furniture blends emotional storytelling, rare natural materials and responsible contemporary craftsmanship.
Saga’s creative approach is grounded in research across arts, history and cultural expressions. Her atelier was founded with the intention of creating pieces that go beyond aesthetics and functionality, seeking a deeper emotional connection between people and objects. By combining new technologies with traditional techniques, she produces art furniture that reflects Brazilian identity through form, texture and material purity.
Her sculptural pieces often begin with rare stones such as quartz and quartzite, shaped to reveal their geological narratives. Minimalist structures frame the natural drama of these materials, allowing translucency, color and vein patterns to become central to the design. This balance of simplicity and expressive detail defines her signature language, merging responsible production with poetic materiality.
More than a designer, Noemi Saga is a curator of materials and stories. Her Iceberg series draws on the billion year formation of quartz in northern Brazil, sculpting primitive blocks into functional art. The Crystal tables reinterpret modernist geometry through pure stone, echoing the shifts that shaped their mineral structure. The Pedrita lamps explore Brazilian marbles and quartz crystals through translucent forms inspired by glaciers, rivers and forests, created with minimalist lines that honor their natural origin.
Her work has been presented in major cultural platforms including SP Arte, Milan Design Week, Design Miami Basel and Homo Faber. Over the years she has received numerous awards and recognitions for lighting, furniture and textile design. Through continuous experimentation with material reuse, traditional craftsmanship and contemporary methodology, Noemi Saga continues to shape a unique presence in the world of collectible design, positioning Brazilian art furniture on the global stage.
