DESIGNER

Noemi Saga

Noemi Saga is a Brazilian designer and the founder of Nomina Design and Noemi Saga Atelier, a studio dedicated to creating collectible design rooted in emotional connection, material experimentation and responsible production. After graduating in Literature, she expanded her training into graphic design, interior design and jewelry design, later completing an MBA in Luxury Management with an extension at Essec in Paris. Since establishing her atelier in 2013, she has developed a body of work that merges contemporary aesthetics with deep cultural references, exploring how design can resonate with memory, nature and human experience. Research in arts, history, trends and cultural expressions informs her creative process, guiding her toward pieces that feel poetic and grounded in Brazilian identity.

Her practice combines new materials and technologies with traditional craftsmanship, resulting in art furniture that bridges innovation and heritage. Collections such as Iceberg, Crystal and Pedrita reveal her fascination with the geological drama of rare Brazilian stones including quartz, quartzite and exotic marbles. By embracing minimalist forms, she highlights the inherent qualities of each material, from translucency to vein pattern, transforming them into sculptural design pieces that evoke glaciers, rivers and natural landscapes. Her approach emphasizes conscious design, reusing materials and optimizing production to align artistic intent with sustainable principles.

Recognized in Brazil and internationally, Saga’s work has been exhibited at SP Arte, Milan Design Week, Design Miami Basel and Homo Faber in Venice. She has received awards such as the Prêmio Salão Design and the Bradesco Private Bank MADE Prize and has been a finalist in the Casa Vogue Design Awards and the Museu da Casa Brasileira Design Award. Through a decade of exhibitions, collaborations and continuous experimentation, Noemi Saga has established herself as a leading voice in contemporary Brazilian collectible design.
