Niccolò Poggi is an Italian architect and third generation designer at the helm of Ugo Poggi Firenze, a historic Florentine brand renowned for its porcelain, silverware and crystal work since the 1920s. Born into a family with deep roots in craftsmanship, he studied Architecture at the University of Florence before beginning his career as an architect. His path shifted when he felt compelled to create his own objects, blending the precision of architectural thinking with the expressive possibilities of ceramics, glass and metal. In 2016 he assumed the role of artistic director and owner, carrying forward the family legacy with a renewed contemporary vision.

Poggi’s design philosophy is defined by organic inspiration and technological experimentation. His creations explore the contours, movements and textures found in nature, while using advanced tools such as 3D modeling, rendering and 3D printing to give shape to custom made objects. This tailor made approach allows him to merge Florentine artisanal tradition with innovation, working closely with master glassmakers from Murano and with historical suppliers of silver and crystal. His work embodies a dialogue between past and future, where heritage techniques and digital processes coexist with harmony and precision.

Under his direction, Ugo Poggi Firenze has expanded its international presence while preserving the values that have guided the brand for more than a century. Collaborations with figures such as Michelin starred chef Vito Mollica exemplify his commitment to elevating tableware and decorative arts through bespoke design. Today Poggi continues to evolve the identity of Ugo Poggi Firenze, creating collectible objects and refined interiors that honor tradition while embracing forward looking craftsmanship.
